Winter Session 2019


All of our classes are taught at the Self Produced Theatre studio in Springfield. Classes begin January 14th and end February 20th. Tuition covers a Self Produced Theatre Education T shirt and  6 weeks of classes. Tuition is $50 per course. Students who qualify for multiple classes may take both for $75. 

All of our classes for this session will consist of scene work, exercises, and lessons to improve your acting abilities! Classes will also feature Guest Instructors. 


Acting for Teens

6th to 12th Grade

Acting for Adults

Tuesdays at 6pm

All adults 18+

Acting for Seniors

Wednesdays at 6pm

Adults age 60+

Improv Nights

Once a Month

Come join us once a month for an improv workshop full of games, exercises, and scene work!

What to Wear

Wear something comfortable that you can move around in (sweatpants are perfectly acceptable, and they go great with our Self Produced Theatre T Shirts!

About the Education Department

About Us

The Education Department at Self Produced Theatre seeks not only to teach budding thespians about various aspects of theatre, but to provide experience and usher in the next generation of artists, performers, and entertainers. 

Education Director

Our Education Director, Jaq Figueroa, is a student at FSU pursuing a BA in Theatre with a focus in Education. He writes lesson plans, picks plays, and decides on courses for the Education Department. 


Tyler Lewis, founder and Artistic Director, teaches classes for Self Produced Theatre. He has worked in many aspects of theatre, including acting, directing, stage managing, and other backstage work. He is elated to be leading the way for other young artists.
